when mentoring or talking with
people speak about the present
and the past.
People maybe interested in what
you did in the past, however, what
you are doing now is just as important.
A friend gave me good advice and
that is to keep it short as well. People
today are not into long conversations.
At least not on one thing anyway. Look
to see if they are engaging. If not turn to
something else.
Last but not least let them talk about
themselves. Though they can learn
from you people want to talk about
them and what is going on their lives.
This way you can use your gifting to
help them out if necessary.
