Being Remembered

I would say it is natural that we 

want to be remembered when

we are gone.

This is a good reason  to  do

a journal. We can say what 

has been  positive in our lives

as well as the areas we struggle 

in. It shows the humanity in us.

How we write this journal is up 

to us. We can write paragraphs 

of what the day was  like. We

can list things that make us

happy or sad.

Just like our life purpose is

unique so can our purpose. 

I once sat by someone at church

and they would draw pictures to

remember what the sermon. I 

thought was wonderful and unique 

way to remember.  That person 

was very  good at drawing.

May you have a wonderful week 

and take down how you feel so

those in future generations will

surely  know you.

What We Say

I have mentioned  before  here in the

United States  we have the freedom 

of speech. 

Although we have the right to speak

our own mind and even protest if

we like as well  sometimes  there

can be consequences as well.

Another thing thing with the freedom

of speech we can't fringe on others 

to speak as  well.  

In my state of Washington they are

looking to pass a vote where people 

may assemble to protest on the

freeway  can be arrested and be 

charged for a felony. 

Online someone mentioned the

freedom  of movement. Actually 

I  never heard those words before 

however in my opinion  freedom 

of movement would apply to others

as well.

My concern would be if traffic is

so bad because of protesting what

if someone  needs to be somewhere

important  or even worse there is

an emergency where they need to

get to the hospital. 

Here in the United States  we have

the opportunity  to  vote on issues 

that are put on the ballot. Many are

put on by people who are signed up

to vote can sign to put the issue on

the ballot. Those we have voted for

in state government  can put them

on the ballot  for  voting as well.

So besides speaking our minds in

free speech voting is another way

to put our thoughts into action.

Indoor Time

Most of April the weather  was nice 

however now in Western Washington 

we are going to have a lot of rain

into early  May.

May has been  one of our better 

months. Over the last several 

years has  been  like summer.

I  hope for the same after these

days of rain.

This means a lot of time indoors 

for sure. Meeting others for coffee

or tea or a meal.  A time to spend

quality  time and see how things 

are going.

Any time can be quality time however 

during the rain it is true to do so.

It will be interesting to  see  what

happens.

Wherever  you  are spend quality time

we someone whether it is indoors out

of the rain or outdoors  when  it is

sunny.   ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Having Hope

The great thing about having a

life purpose  it gives us hope.

God sent his son Jesus  Christ  

into the world  and dead for our

sins that we would have something 

to live for.

We are not here for a short period 

of time and that is it. If so might

as well  party. 

I am here for a purpose.  My mother 

thought that I  would only live for

a few months. She fought that I 

would be around for sometime 

and have a purpose. 

It wasn't  until my senior year of

high school  that I  heard about

Jesus Christ.  I  have had my up

and downs over the years. Things

and desires haven't  all worked out

the way I  like it however I  have

a purpose. 

In my purpose  is to have joy and

encourage  others.  This is the 

reason  I  have this blog. If you

haven't  had hope before you can

have it today.  ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Looking Toward Success

Our life purpose  should begin with

having success. We may find different 

ideas how that comes about for us.

For some people success might be

how much money they make. For

others is having a good family. 

Depending where you live or your

economic situation  success maybe

to survive.  The same could be if

you live in a bad family situation. 

As a Christian  success means to

glorify God. At the end of life hearing

the words well done faithful  servant. 

Our reward happens when our life

is over.

As we know not every day will be 

great. There will be those who won't 

like us as much as others. We make 

mistakes too. The importance is to

learn from them. We hope tomorrow 

the mistakes won't  be the same as

today. 

May you be blessed today and may

love be in the center of your life.

Being Great Part 3

For now this will  be the end of this series.

Being great is finding those who will 

support  us. Not only support however 

feel  the same for what makes us great.

We are great for God giving us the life

we live for him. Jesus Christ  not only

died for our sin but to change our life.

We give up our life by choice and to

deny our life. This what makes us great.

Our minds are being renewed each day.

We are a new creation. Whatever our

lives were before we are not that person 

any longer. We can struggle  and make

mistakes along the way. 

We are great for our God is great. He gave

us a purpose  to live out. What your purpose 

has some similarities  to mine however

he still made you unique.

Here you can continue to be encouraged.

Write down what makes feel good and

what does not. Amen!

Being Great Part 2

In part one I mentioned  being

humble and having faith. Here

goes another step  where we 

think of others above ourselves.

I think we feel  better  as well 

when we consider others. I 

find it uplifting  when a younger

person gives me respect  when

meeting  for the first time.

We should respect one another

no matter what age the person 

is. We should respect both older

and younger people.

Consider yourself great in God's 

mind that you respect others

regardless of age or their lifestyle.

Being Great Part 1

Being great  in God's  eyes is 

different  than how we see it.

God desires  a man after his 

own heart.

Being  humble and having faith

would be two areas that  God

would be  pleased with us.

Being humble means we are 

not proud and we don't  see

ourselves better than  anyone 

else. This would be heard to

do in the way we think being

great is.

Faith means we believe  even

in those things we don't see

now and desire to  see. With

faith we can accomplish many

things. Our purpose  will  be

great having the faith to so.

Taking Another Step

How  I mentioned  in the last post

about being realistic we need to take

another step forward  instead of

going backwards. 

The thing though is we learn  from 

going backwards.  It isn't though 

we become great people in our

pursuit of living the of purpose. 

We may become  great people  

because  that is how God sees

us. What is meant by being great

might not be defined by what a

lot of people  see either.

Being great is accomplishing those

things that make a difference in the

world. We have to change our mindset

in what makes someone great including 

us.

We will further explore what being 

great is besides  how we see it. Look

forward to it in some further posts.

Being Realistic

We have to realistic  that not everyone 

is going to  see us in our life purpose  

the way it should be.

When you are doing  your life purpose 

the way and  how you think it should 

go. The importance  is to see the signs

or something  happens  that may change

things. 

I had something  happen  this week that

I  thought  was doing right. A person  I 

was having a little  time with did not see

things the same way.  They had concerns 

and I  do understand  them. 

The deal was they went to  a  third party  

instead of me. Makes me not feel  right

about it. I  have learned from  the  experience.

The important  thing is if you have concerns 

it is important to go to that person  first

and not a third party.  I  do know that these 

days people  do have to  be  careful.  

So right now our relationship  isn't  where

it could still be. Obviously  they  didn't 

know me as well  as I  thought though 

the short relationship  as I  call it hasn't 

long.

For the meantime  I  am not going to spend 

any talking time with them. We may run into

each other. We will  be in the area on occasion 

though.  I  just hope others haven't got the 

wrong idea. I  do know that I  will be more 

careful  so something  like  this won't happen 

and get the wrong idea.

On positive side I  have learned something too.

The enemy  against our purpose  will find a way

to discredit  us. I  hope you have learned from

Finding Our Purpose

There are different  ways to go in

our life purpose.  The main question 

most of us ask what are we doing 

here or what was I created for?

Both are really  the same thing. 

I am not here to convince you but

to discover what purpose  God

has for you.

He created you to worship him

and to do his work on earth. The

work you can do uniquely.  

We each have a job however mine 

is different than yours. We could

have similarities but still comes

down to being different. 

If you are married than you and

your spouse have a job to do 

together.  The role for each one

is different.  You will have several

roles or purposes to do. You are

husband then you will be  a father

if you have children and the wife

the mother.  The roles are different 

however the purpose is to make 

your children the best they can be

including  living out their purpose.

Being married  you will be a unique 

couple as well. Working to be the

best you can be together and separate 

at the same time.

Write down everything  you  know about

yourself.  If you are married write down

everything  about your partner. Share

with each other what you have written 

down. You might  know some things

about yourself and some about your

partner.  You likely  find out something 

about yourself you didn't  know and 

your partner to.

Another step is meet with other couples.

Write down what you think about each

couple as partners and individuals too.

Again you find out more about yourself 

and your partner. I  am  not sure you will

know everything  however getting closer.

You have any single friends invite them

along too. 

We each have a great life purpose  that

will expand each and everyday. You have

gifts and talents that you know about.

You use them and more will be added. 

Enjoy your life purpose. I will add more

on this site as I  discover more what I  

find out about our purpose. 

Finally  you maybe a superstar or a

servant that will change those around

Honor One Another

Often we have been  hurt by others.

The truth is we should be honoring

one another.

Weare all created by  the  true and

  great God. We are special on our

own and so is everyone  else.

Instead we let jealousy and lack

of communication  get to us.

We let petty  little  things get 

in the way.

Those who do those things we

should choose not  to  be around.

If we do these things ourselves 

then we should stop.

Honor and bless others today

whether by words or action.

May we pray each person  we

are in contact with whether for

a minute or an hour are blessed.

Spring Time

Here in the  northwest  of United States 

it is spring  time.  My favorite  time of 

the year.

I like  it  since the sun comes out

some and we can visit  places 

without too many crowds.

I like the fall for the same  reason 

Where the sun is out for about six

weeks  with occasional rainfall.

The summer especially  July is

good along as it doesn't get too

hot. We are blessed  without a 

lot of humidity. Only happens 

after it gets  too hot.

Winter is my least favorite since

we don't  have  a lot of snow and

have to  visit the mountains.  This 

year we may have had one inch

all depending where you were at.

Winter we get a lot of  rain and I 

prefer snow for several days. 

People  don't  really  favor snow

since we have a lot of hills.  All

depends where you  choose to

live.

Thanks spring  for being good

and thank you  God for bringing 

us our weather  good or bad

when we need it.

Your Life Purpose Brings Joy

More than anything our purpose

should give us joy.

This doesn't mean it will be a 

struggle sometimes and other 

people we deal with us will 

always be nice to us.

Joy for doing what we were created

for.  Knowing we have a purpose

gives satisfaction too.

When you think about why you are

doing it the goal will bring joy. 

We All Deal With Disappointments

Sunday at my church I heard early on 

a couple lost twins this week. It hurts

when a member of the family whether

natural or spiritual. 

When you are a part of a church you

hurt as they do. Our grief will not be

as much as theirs however still real.

None of us will know for many years 

ahead however we will have the

answers at sometime. 

We all have had disappointments

at some point in life. Possibly more

than we like. In our minds we want

to know.  Many years later disappointment

can still linger along. I certainly know 

it has in my life.

I still can't wait until some desires

do happen. I have to trust God knows

what he is doing. The definition of

faith is believing in what you haven't

seen. Though it is difficult I still

have to believe. In the end God will

say well done Herb. The reward will

oversee the disappointment.

Satan the deceiver will want us to

believe otherwise. Words and thoughts

will creep in saying you don't deserve it

or you blew it or something else

that is not true.

We are in a battle. You are an overcomer.

You are a warrior. You have come

this far no matter what Satan says. This

is true even if it is hard to believe

right now.    ❤❤❤❤

Being A Good Friend

The number one thing is for us

to be a good friend. I am sure 

most of us remember our  best

friend while growing up.

Those who still spend time with

their best friend growing up are

very blessed. 

Being a good friend means that

you will be there for each other

no matter what. 

A good friend means that you could

be a mentor for them. They could

be for you as well though another

person be fine too.

Correction or giving advice is a

positive reason to have a good

friend. 

A good friend is one you can

do anything with as well as 

talking.. What is great is one

of your children work out 

having a friend with one their 

children. Also spouse's are 

good friends.

We may all have several friends 

however  there is usually only a few

you will call close.

Whether a person becomes close

or not still means you have a good

friend. 

A friend will stick closer than

a brother.    ❤❤❤❤

A Fierce Tongue

Our speech by the tongue can give

life or death.  Many of us are not

living our purpose  exactly  as  we

were created to because of words 

some others spoke to  us.

We have to watch the words we 

do say. Many relationships  have 

ended with wrong words spoken

whether entended or not.

Often it is the tone of our speech. 

We have to speak  with a positive

tone. This is where humor comes

in. Even humor spoken incorrectly 

can bring harm to. We would  know 

this as teasing.

Unkind words can happen said

said because of bitterness or

jeleousy. We should stay away

from both. Even truth can break

friendship  too.

The most important  thing  for 

all of us to do is think before 

we speak. Let our words be

encouraged  for others.

My Home

Over the centuries  people have

looked for a new home. United 

States exist a lot for this reason. 

First began from those coming

over from Great Britain to get

away from ruling party.  Many

more have come from all over

of the world. They still do to 

this day.

God has blessed the United States 

like no other. There are other 

countries who have been blessed 

as well  for what they have helped

other people  from the abuse in

their country. 

Often people forget what has

happened and no longer follow

what has happened before.

Even here or elsewhere  there

are places to be a new home.

You looking for a new home

for any reason go for it. ❤️❤️❤️

Obstacles Can Be Overcome

None of us likes obstacles and 

can be annoying.  They can give

us hopelessness  too.

On the other side  they can give 

us strength  as well.  We might 

not think of it while we are in 

the middle  of it.

Just think how strong we are. 

The obstacles  can play a major 

part of it. We don't  necessarily 

rejoice  over it however  it is

what life is.

Learn from  anything that came

your way today  and  tomorrow 

will be better for it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Have A Smiling Face

In Matthew  5 Jesus  Christ said  

we must be the light of  the  world. 

I figure this means  we must have 

a smile on our face as often as 

we can.

There are times where a smile 

is hard to come by however it 

does really  help. I  know I feel 

better when I  see someone 

has a smile when I  don't  feel 

like smiling. 

Being consistent  and  faithful 

is another way to be the light.

The ones I respect the most

and gives me hope are those

who are sick. They may  even 

know they may even be dying.

I have known a few personally 

and they never doubted their

faith knowing that heaven was

the final  destination. They knew

they were going home though

life was shorten. 

We should all feel  better this

way. Wake up in the morning 

with a smile. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Learning From Others

We can learn  things  from  other people.

I played a lot of sports  and watched 

some  too. Baseball  is  a  a sport  where 

there is  more disappointment  even

if your one of the best. 

You are up at the plate even the best

get out two out of three times. The

pitcher can succeed  more times 

however he will give up some runs. 

The biggest  disappointment  is getting 

hurt and this seems  more happening

this year.

I played a lot of tennis. Although I  was 

above average I failed some of the time

as well. Losing isn't  fun even for those 

win most of the time. Talk about golf

that has to one of the most frustrating 

sports  around. 

We can learn patience  from  those who

play sports. Other areas of life can bring

hopelessness.  I  have had that feeling

being  single and wondering what  is 

wrong  with  me. This is where patience 

and faith must come in.

On Sunday  evening  in a small  group I 

was praying  for  a young woman who 

is hopeless and it was odd since she 

is in the same place  as  I though not

nearly  as long as I.  She believes that

one day she will be married however

is in the place  of  hopelessness as

well.  Feels time is running out. Having

children certainly  can make her feel 

that way. She had patience  though like

me is feeling  time is running out. I 

learning from her though had nothing

as far advice to give her.

I  am  sure  we have all been her spot

or mine though not necessarily the

same situation.  So learn from others

whether they feel  the same or not.

We can hear them even if we don't 

reply back. We can celebrate with

others to or grieve as well.  Take the

time to learn.  ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We Can Make A Difference

It doesn't  matter  how old  you  are 

or where you are from you can make

a difference. 

It doesn't  matter  what you  did before

you woke up  this morning.  Wherever 

you go you can make  a difference. 

You can talk a lot or little. You can

dance or not. You can play an instrument 

or not or you can play basketball or not.

The main thing is being yourself and

being available  and that is  all it takes.

There are people  out there  who  can

use a friend just like you can use a

friend.  It doesn't   matter how many 

friends you have another one is good.

We all have times of sorrow  and having 

someone  there at the time is what we

need. We are all an instrument and gift

from God. Amen! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Something About Sundays

I find Sunday  as a special  day of

the week. 

For many Sunday is the best  day 

of the week  or close to it anyway.

Many people  spend  Sunday  with 

family after church  or whatever 

they do in the morning. 

I find the morning  gratifying  since

Sunday  morning  I  spend with my

spiritual family. Yes we should feel  

as family as well.  In some cases 

they feel  more like family 

when you have no natural ones

around you. 

Your spiritual  family  has the same 

beliefs as you. They can speak into

your life like others can not. The 

same goes for you into their lives.

They can direct  you  in your purpose.

Everyone  else you meet are the

extension of your purpose.  Keep 

your eyes open. Young people can

be who you used to be or desire 

to be. Those your age can be your

friends  or  who they used to be.

Older people  can be those who you

will be someday.

May you enjoy your Sundays every 

week and make every day be like

What Does Red In Our Purpose

In the Christian  world  the color  red

can mean several  things.  First of

all the blood of  Christ.

When it comes to our life purpose 

it can mean passion and desire.

So you can use as a symbol for

your life.

I  have recently heard   a few times 

at church about red when it comes

to revival. In this case it means the

fire of God.

You go back to my early posts you

will see one of them  I believe I 

wrote about how I  was burned

right before my fourth  birthday.

Though I  don't  remember  being

burned I heard the story about it

and I  have  scars to prove it. 

Doesn't  mean I  think about it

a lot though.

I say that hearing about fire in

any context it hurts a little but.

Though the fire of God is nothing

like it I am sure anyone who has

burned  or being in a fire would

understand. 

Let you know that changing the 

look of the  site has nothing about

what I have written here though 

this king about purpose  with

passion and desire is a good

Some Change Is Good

As you see now for those who have

been on this site for some time a

change to the look. I figure more

of a professional look.

Our life purpose should have change

a bit once in a while to. Our purpose

should evolve in a good way. 

God will continue to give us more

in our purpose so this may have

change as well.  

We may do the same purpose however

in a different location. As we know 

people do move somewhere else

and do the  same job which is part

of their purpose. May work for the

same company.  The difference can

be interacting with a new group of

people and make a difference in

their lives 

Again enjoy this new look however

encouraging you should not change.

Higher Than High

We were created  in God's  image. We are

just below the Angels.  We have rule over 

the animals though many could  take us

out without having a gun.

Just knowing  we are created in God's 

image should be enough however we

have doubts on many occasions. 

My name Herbert means illustrious warrior.

It mean being bright as well.  I have been 

told a few times I  am  a might warrior as

well.  Do I  feel  that  way or act that way. 

I  say most of the time not. 

God not only loves us he has great meaning 

and purpose. We should live the life of the

calling and purpose. I  do hope this helps

What We Should Be Comforted About

Sometimes it easy not to 

know what we should do.

Our minds can be side track

in our purpose.

We might think this isn't

what I am supposed to

do. I am not worthy of

my purpose. I have been

hurt and rejected. What

I have been told can't be

true. 

Let you know it is true no

matter what you have been

told. Rejection is a true part

of life however it still doesn't

mean you can't do it.

There are many other questions

to but still can happen. We have

the faith along with hope and

answers by others. It may take

time as well. Stay on the course.

What You Should Go For

We all need at least one person to

count on to help encourage and

answer any questions we have.

Most people have heard about  iron

sharpens iron. It is mentioned in the 

Bible and it is true.

Whether this person is a mentor or

a good friend is not as important

as having a person to sharpen us.

Having someone to be there in

good times as well as the bad ones.

Challenges us as well telling the

truth. Our purpose should be in

line with this.

There is so much we can learn. 

It is so important not to be an

island either. Bring hope and

faith to those who need it.

Being Unselfish

One of the things we can be unselfish

in our life purpose. We are naturally

selfish in our nature.

A good example is little children. They

may look cute and sweet however the

selfishness comes out sometimes

in the way they act. I saw an example

leaving the gym on Monday. A little

girl was not very happy and was letting

it out at a high volume.  Her mom.told

her you can help yourself up. She 

wanted her mother to help of course.

The mother said you were playing 

around and you can get yourself up.

The mother was trying to teach her

something. I have no idea how long it

lasted however several minutes.

We often act out this way ourselves

for not getting our own way. I think

there are other ways as well like

eating too much food. One way we

are not selfish is when something

happens in the world like an earthquake 

and people out. At the same time

others will take advantage of it.

I am sure there are those who are

living out their purpose in a selfish

way however most do the best

chance in being unselfish. This

is where we can decide to be

different. We will still have are

moments. ❤❤❤❤

What Our Purpose Can Do

We may ask  ourselves sometimes what

is my purpose  really doing. Others are 

doing things without  a care and having 

a good time. 

You should be having a good  time with 

your purpose. It is part of you. Also  you

are helping others too. It can be in short

ways. You don't  even have to  say a word

you  are  living out who you  are. 

Now it is  April so right a list of what you

remember  happened in March. You might

have a new friend for instance. You could

have started a new job, traveled or began

a new hobby.  

Make a list of you have planned for April.

Who you plan to see or maybe add a day

or start going to the gym. I  prefer going

to the gym. Some people  are not as social

so having a gym at home or watch videos

online of exercising.  

For those who don't  feel comfortable in

social gatherings go to the gym by starting 

one day a week then you can add on from

there. 

The most important  thing  is  to  live your

life with purpose  in mind. You are unique 

so whatever  works for you is what you

do.
