Looking Back On OUr Life Purpose Lists

At the end of 2019 I asked us all to write down making
a list of our gifts and talents along with our purpose.

We would have never imagined going into June 2020
the world would be so different where we might not
know what to do with our life purpose.

I ask we take the time right now to look at what we
wrote down. How are we doing with those gifts and
talents.

Many of us have been stuck home working from there
or not working at all. We are wondering what the future
will look like.

I expect life will get back to normal or at least close to
it in a little bit of time. Here in Washington state some
businesses have opened up again beside the ones they
called essential or you could work from your home.

In either case life is still different for many. My brother
was working from home already though now his wife
is to being a high school teacher doing everything on
line. At this point don't know whether school will go
back close to what it was in the fall or continue on line.

Speaking with my brother on Saturday he found there
are business getting back to work in his area. His wife
went to restaurant for a pick up where there were
people were sitting eating their meal.

We will find though some businesses will never come
back at all. The mayor of Gig Harbor where I live has
asked the governor to allow more businesses to open
back up. He hasn't been the only mayor to ask in the
state.

In Gig Harbor we have had only one death in the past
two and a half months. The governor told him it is by
county not by city. Only open up for the whole county.

The mayor told him we are the only city on the Olympic
Peninsula in the county. The rest are in other counties
and they have opened up. We do hope the governor
changes his mind. The mayor may have to file a law
suit to do so.

Our purpose hasn't changed at all just the way we may
have to live it. Stay safe and be blessed. Amen!

We Are All Created For Purpose

It is so sad that not everyone realizes we all
were created for a purpose.

What happened in Minneapolis, Minnesota
this week when George Floyd a black man
was killed by a white police officer.

It shows no matter what color your skin is
people are still hateful in that regard.

Where I live there isn't a lot of black people
but I see a lot of respect for those who are
in the community. Of course, I am not sure
how often they actually do get respect.

It isn't just color though. Anyone who is
different for whatever reason is looked
down.

Let's begin respecting each person as a
child of God no matter what difference
there is.

We all have a purpose so let each one do
the purpose they are called to. Just because
we are different doesn't mean what we have
to offer isn't anything less important. Amen

Beautiful Days

It is hard to believe there is no other place as
beautiful as the Pacific Northwest when the
sun is out.

This week we had the sun out for several days
I took Friday where I went on another short
trip for the day.

I went to a small town called Seabeck on the
Hood Canal. It is about 30 mile drive from
where I live going north then west.

Seabeck is so beautiful look out on the Hood
Canal. Doing a search they say the population
is 1105/ It certainly didn't look like  that many
people lived there.

Arriving at Seabeck there is a grocery store, a
coffee shop, and across the street a conference
center. Hard to tell the population from there.

Beautiful days like Friday makes you forget
about the days it rains especially in late fall
and winter. People get discouraged and
depressed during that time of the year.

Though spring gets pretty nice there is pollen
happens frequently so it is hard on those who
have allergies.

So it is so important to encourage others in
this area especially when the weather is not
good to be around.

I am sure many other places have the same
issues as well.

Today we are expecting rain again. I hope
it only last a short time.

LIfe Purpose: Places Opening Up

Here in Washington State the governor has deccided
Churches are going to be able to get back to services
real soon.

In the beginning, the plan is to have no more than
one hundred people at a service  taking place outside.
Inside services would be no more than fifty people.

The church services would need to be social distancing
at the same time. Pews or chairs would have to be
at least six feet apart. Everyone would have to wear
a mask.

A good way to have things start to get back to becoming
normal anyway.

This will allow us to have relationship back as well in
person than on line or over the phone.

This means we can begin to get back to living a life
of purpose as well. It isn't like we haven't but it has
been a struggle to do so.

Though the church isn't the building it is nice to have
the church meet together no matter where.

God bless you and may God's face shine upon you.

What I Do Know

I understand what  I know. What I don't
know I don't grasp at all.

I can seek out what I don't know if I
desire to know.

I ask for wisdom for such things.

I do know I was created for a purpose.
I do know some things in that regard
while other I may not.

Time will tell me what is true about
my life purpose.

My gifts, talents along with my personality
I know is part of the plan. I do know to
I am here to encourage others. Even those
who may not want to know from me.

I do get discouraged at time but it should
never slow me down. I battle against
loneliness on a daily basis, however, it
makes me want to have my hearts
desire even more so.

I hope this helps others to who struggle
each day to be the person they want to
be.

I salute the least of these because they
have no other place to go than up. God
says the greatest of these is the least and
the last will be first. Something I am
counting on when I arrive at heavens' door.

Life Purpose: the battle

Monday we celebrated Memorial Day in the
USA. To remember those who fought for the
freedoms we have.

Though the military is there to keep our
freedom there is a battle within us too.
My pastor says there are two realms the
physical one we live in every day and the
spiritual one.

The spiritual realm is where the battle happens.
We may feel it in the physical but takes place
in the spiritual.

When  we feel depressed or lonely means
we are involved in a spiritual battle. There
are other areas in our lives we should battle
against as well. If there are areas you have
struggled in for years means it is a spiritual
battle.

I am not going into depth here since it is
a big subject along something not to take
lightly.

In Christian circles the battle is called
spiritual warfare. There are books on
spiritual warfare. Also, there are blogs
on it as well. Just do a search on spiritual
warfare.

You have friends who are mature Christians
then talk with them. Our lives can change
dramatically on fighting the spiritual battle.
Amen!

How to Live a Life of Purpose

I am sure everyone has some idea what it means
to live a life of purpose. I give my ideas from God
who gave us a purpose to live.

God created each one of us a purpose. I did a search
on life purpose. There are several books written on
life purpose.

I know there are those that agree with me that life
purpose begins with God's original design. How
he created us to be. If we are not meeting our
original deign it is likely Satan has side tracked
us from doing so. He has put self doubt in our
minds as well.

I am sure I will tell you over and over again that
life purpose has to do with the gifts and talents
God has given each of us as well as the original
design.

A good way is to ask close friends about your
original design. Those who you trust well.
They will be honest with you. Also, you can
ask God directly. He will have the answer for
you.

Until next time have a good and blessed time.

Memorial Day

Here in USA we celebrate the last Monday of
May as Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is where we honor those who
have fought for our country allowing us to
stay free.

For many years we have honored those who
fought in World War One and Two. Most
of those who fought in World War Two
are no longer with us. There are still a few.

Next will be to honor those who fought in
the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
The Vietnam War was not a popular war
in the USA at the time. Many were shamed
at their return. Now is the time to honor
them though it was a war we shouldn't
have been in.

We honor those who are serving in our
military today continue to keep us safe.
Amen!

USA Opening Up

Much of the USA is beginning to open
things up back to normal life or close
to it despite there are those still having
the corona virus.

What they call social distancing will
still be in effect and many places asking
people to wear masks.

I wear a mask when I go into a grocery
store, pharmacy, or coffee shop. When
I go walking I don't unless I am in an
area where there are a group of people
which isn't happening very often where
I walk.

In Washington state where I live there
is still stay at home orders until the end
of May. We will have to see if the order
continues into June.

We do have ten counties where things
have opened up to some degree for
instance going to a hair salon or
barber shop.

Also, allowing more businesses to
open up including restaurants where
people can sit down for a meal instead
of just take out. There are protocols
businesses have to follow before
opening up.

We will have to see whether this
works or have to shut places down
once again. Amen!

Success Breeds Success

Often one of the children follows the same
professional path as one of their parents or
works in the family business.

Sometimes the children have more success
then the parents or not. It might have to do
with the climate of whether the nation is
doing well or not.

Parents can pass on what they have learned
to the children or the children has more
gifts or talents than the parents. The
children might not have the same gifts
or talents as the parents so might not
do as well financially. They might not  feel
success at all.

Just because you don't have the same gifts
or talents of your parents doesn't mean you
can't be successful yourself. Those who might
go into the family business find to struggle
financially in a way their parents did finding
employees with talents and gifts they may
not have is a good idea.

Whatever your parents have or don't have
do not compare yourself with them. Your
success along with purpose might look different.
Amen!

Weird Dreams

Although this is about life purpose it is
somewhat of a diary or journal for that
matter.

Usually I don't remember dreams unless
they are weird. I am not sure why it
works out this way.

Maybe there is a purpose why I don't
remember dreams for the most part.
Some people do remember dreams
on a regular basis.

Last night I had a dream where I along
with a couple others were caring lead
pipe along the interstate highway.

I am not sure what the significance
is about the lead pipe or the highway.
I do sure hope I will remember dreams
in the future more often  being good
instead of weird.

Right Or Wrong

These days I find it hard to know what
is right or wrong. In another matter of
speaking who is right and who is wrong.

All I know there doesn't seem like a lot
of mercy or encouragement going on.

Many people just want to slam each other
while others say go by your conscience.
To me it sounds like you follow the way
you go while I go the way I feel.

I just leave it at this right now. Since I am
not sure about people these days.

I want to remind you to continue your
purpose. Also, let your yes be yes and
your no be no.

Enjoy your day. I check with you
next time. Blessings you are a
special person. Amen!

my first video here

Hello everyone I started my first video on my blog here. I hope to do some
future ones as well. So you can hear me. I wouldn't say it is great since it is
my first one. Let me know of any future ones whether you like them or not.
I think hearing can be as good as reading.

Being Happy Right Now

In these times we are living it isn't an
easy task to be happy.

It is a choice we should make everyday
to be happy.

Happiness is not something that comes
naturally to everyone.

We can be someone who uses humor
on a regular basis, however, it doesn't
automatically make us happy.

Since many of us are spending more
time at home then we are used to right
now choose to be happy.

Yes this is really the answer being
happy is a choice. Do it today.

By the way, happiness comes in
many flavors. What makes me
happy can be different then what
makes you happy.

Oh yes, God wants us to be happy.

The happiness does come him as well,
however, we still have to decide to do
so. Good day to you as you discover
happiness.

Held In Place

Right now life feels held in place.
The media has called us living
a new normal.

I am sure most people say the
new normal sucks.

It is understandable many are
wanting to get back to the
old normal.

It is frustrating whether you
want to stay at home all the
time or go back to the way
it was.

It is important to talk to your
friends whether it is on line
or over the phone.

Whatever you do keep your
attitude in hope and faith.
Amen!

Mercy Triumphants Over Judgement

These days people feel so often they are
being judged even though for the most
part they are not.

When you are doing something wrong
and someone calls you out on it doesn't
mean judgement. In fact, they are doing
so because they love you.

At least this is the case for those who
are close to you.

Everyone has faults so the best thing
is to show mercy to someone has done
wrong whether to you or not.

Mercy is a characteristic of living
your life of purpose. People will
see how genuine you are when
you show mercy. A good reason
mercy triumphants over judgement.

It's My Birthday

Here it is again my birthday on May 17. Like so
many other things right now it will be different
than the usual.

This morning my church is going to have a
drive-in service. Each car will be  six feet
apart for those who need to open their
windows.  We won't be able to get out of
our cars. So have to prepare not to go to
the bathroom.

This year will be different since it will be
the first time without my mother. It is like
so many other things especially holidays
with her passing in March.

Saturday I took my triple to Port Angeles.
I took several pictures which I will show
in a few days here.

It didn't rain on the way, however, it did
on the return. I was planning to visit a
couple spots on the way back but decided
to skip because of the hard rain. They will
be on my next agenda when going.

Did have a good view of the Olympic
Mountains behind Port Angeles. There
is a spit I had never been to on my other
trips to the area. In fact, I didn't even
know it was a spit.

Without the spit Port Angeles would be
right on the sea. The spit protects the
city. The ferry isn't going to Victoria,
British Columbia right now so I was
able to take a picture of the ferry at
dock. There were a few ships nearby
as well.

It take about one hundred minutes to
drive to Port Angeles from my town
of Gig Harbor. Heading west 15 miles
on highway 101 is the entrance of
the Olympic National Park.

This summer I will take a longer day
by visiting a portion of the park. I did
go to Lake Crescent. made from a
glacier thousands of years ago. A
beautiful place to see.

Enjoy your day. I do hear you singing
happy birthday. Thank you so much.

Be A Light

Friday night I was thinking there is anger
along with negativity on social media. There
must be something to change it.

I realized while thinking anger in itself
isn't all bad because Jesus Christ had
anger on occasion, however, he didn't
sin.

We can be like Jesus Christ have anger
for injustice happening around us. Politics
is where a lot of the anger comes to for
people which is fine long as you let it
fester for a period of time.

Politics in general can be an injustice,
it is sort of what happens with it. As
I said it can make you angry but let
know allow you to sin.

Instead be positive and encourage
others where you are a light for
others to see. Jesus Christ came
as a light to the world and wants us
to be as well. Amen!

Plans For The Weekend

With the Coronavirus plans for the
weekends sound odd compared to
what they used to be.

Most people plans to do something
around the home unless they go on
their boat or to a park or somewhere
else.

I decided this weekend I am going to
drive to Port Angeles, Washington.
It is about a two-hour drive without
making any stops on the way.

On a good day you can view Vancouver
Island, Canada. Port Angeles has a
ferry you can take over to the island.
Right now the ferries are not going
because of the virus.

We are expecting rain this weekend
so many will probably stay home,
however, I figure a good idea to
go anyway.

It will be interesting to see what
happens on the trip. I can do it
all in in one day so I will be back
late Saturday.

Whatever you do find some kind
adventure this weekend. Amen!

Throw Back Thursday

This is very common to see on social media
in the USA anyway being called "Throwback
Thursday".

Right now we don't have to go back very long
ago to remember when life was normal. We
have to have strong faith to make it every day.
Not an easy task for many.

I think back to last year when I was thinking
about all these new homes being built in the
area of Gig Harbor, Washington what if there
is an economic collapse what will people do.
Both the owners and the developers, however,
primarily the homeowners who have put so
much money into their homes.

I had no idea even in my wildest dreams a
virus would hit shutting down most businesses.
I found it interesting two months ago on the
television on the news plan don't panic although
it sounded like panic in the stories. Now we
have the need of faith.

Next Thursday I will go into another throwback
Thursday. In the meantime, be well and strong.
Amen!

Teaching Others Too

Besides teaching our children we can
teach others too.

It can be other families children that
are nearby or even adults as well.

We can actually teach ourselves or
learn from others.

We should be open to all possibilities.
There maybe areas we have weaknesses
in, however, it doesn't mean we can't
learn something from them.

Teach Your Children

Right now with the Pandemic happening
around the world children are at home
being taught on-line.

This is a good opportunity to see how
your children are doing in school even
though they are in contact with their
teachers.

It is important to teach your children
things that they may not be learning
at school.

What I mean by that is to know their
gifts and talents then encourage the
children in those areas.

They may have gifts beyond the
subjects they are good at in school.
Amen!

Encouragement verses Discouragement

These days discouragement seems to be
going on instead of encouragement. At least
on social media.

I still believe our purpose is to encourage
others not to discourage.

We give people disservice by discouraging
them.

The problem is everyone has an opinion
which is fine but you don't have to use it
to discourage.

So encourage someone today.

Record Temperatures

Temperatures reached up to high eighties
over the weekend in Western Washington.
It was a record for those two days in May.

Seattle actually hit 90 degrees. Many people
were out in their boats. It was the first
time of the season the governor allowed
boaters to get out since the stay at home
order went into effect in March.

Now the weather is expected to be back
more to normal this week including some
rain.

While it was hot here the east coast had
cold temperatures including snow in
New York. Often it is the other way
around.  hmmm

I Wish A Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day you wonderful women.
This will be the first one without the presence
of my mother.

My mother wasn't perfect, however, I can't
think of having a better Mother.

The last seven years of her life I was her
caregiver. Even near the end she didn't
want to do something. I told her it had
to be done she thanked me.

It was weird to think in some ways I
had become her parent as well as
companion.

I ask God for strength since today will
not be easy.

Happy Mother's Day mom I miss you
so much.

Your Heart Gives You Purpose

Someone I have known for many years,
we have been fellow church members
and friend wrote on FB yesterday a
very good message.

She said: "Having a rough day? Place
your hand on your heart. Feel that?
That's called purpose. You're alive
for a reason. Don't give up!!!  "

I find this very profound and I
decided to pass it on. Enjoy
your day also called purpose.
Amen!

Ready For A New Normal

I certainly hope you are not ready
for a new normal. I know a lot of
people believe we will be involved
with the  virus for a while.

I have the faith we will get back
to where we were in February.

Here in the USA the area I have
lived was one of the first places
hit by the virus and we hope to
be one of the first to be out of it
as well.

Our governor has set things up for
four phases to get back to the old
normal.

Right now we are in phase one,
however, there are some moving
into the second phase. This means
opening up more places.

We are planning on have church
services available where we meet
in the parking lot. My church will
do so on May 17. It happens to be
my birthday as well. So let's do it.

Reading Good Books

My mother had a sharp mind most of
her life. It is one of the reasons she
had a good memory up to the last
couple of years.

These days a lot of people including
myself are on social media. It is a good
thing, however, I am not sure whether
it should be the only thing we read.

Finding a group on social media is
a good thing. A group that can inspire
you in a same way a book can.

My mother was part of a couple of
book groups after she retired after
teaching.

The groups allowed her to socialize
for many years. Not any easy thing
when you get into your nineties.

Like anything I encourage you to do
what you the best. Amen!

People Enjoying The Sun

Today I went out first in the morning to
see how many were out walking or at
the parks

I didn't see a lot of people walking or
being about in the morning. I expect
they were doing what they had to do
in regards of work.

Late afternoon when people would
not be working I found more people
walking and sitting as well at the parks.

I expect we will see more people out
on the weekend.

Though we are under a new normal
a lot of people aren't used to getting out.
We do hope this won't long though.

It is still important figuring who is
part of your life purpose.

Summer In May

Over the next few days in Western Washington
we are expecting temperatures in the 80s.

It will be interesting to see how it looks with
the new normal as they call it.

I will go out early for my daily walk before
it gets to hot.

I am sure there will be those out working in
their gardens while those working from home
may sit on the deck  while the children are
playing when not doing school work.

Here in Gig Harbor we have several city parks
and a couple state parks which opened backup
this week.

I will travel around to see people while doing the
social distancing. I hope to get in my life purpose
as well.

Wherever you are at enjoy your day as well.

Good Evening All

I know evening all depends on where you are at.
I decided to write this in the afternoon so most
of you will  read it in the evening.

It is amazing to me the opinion many people
have when it comes to politics along with the
virus.

Some people are ready to get back to the real
world while others want to stay home.

I am not going to encourage you to go either
way on the issue. You have to let your conscience
be your guide.

I hope your day was a good one. Take the time
to relax and meditate along with prayer.
Amen!

What Is In Encouragement?

You may want to know what I mean
by what is in encouragement.

Well here we go. In the middle of
encouragement is courage.

So to encourage others really
means you give them courage.

We all can be given courage
can't we. So the next time you
encourage some one try to put
the courage into them. Amen!

Remembering Mom

It is now two months since my mother
passed away on March 6 at 5:30 am.

I still see her face of my mom as my
sister Barb and I were there at the time.

I kissed her on her cheek as well as her
forehead

It isn't easy to write this for sure. I look
forward to seeing you again Mom some day.

Hearing By Church Leadership

Every morning and evening I have the
opportunity along with my church
family to hear from our church
pastors.

They are not only talking about the
corona virus they speak encouragement
as well.

Last week they taught about the USA
constitution. About our rights knowing
how we should deal with it.

They share live on Facebook.

Keep It Shorter

I am aware how much people view different
sites on the internet. So I am going to look
at keeping shorter messages along with
more often.

I plan to write shorter messages
at least twice a day.

This I hope will help people view more
often and be encouraged about life and
the purpose we have.

It is easy to get discouraged especially
where the world is at right now.

Until next time bye

Us Or Me?

First of all welcome to Monday. It isn't the
same for the new normal. Personally I can't
wait to get back to the old  normal how about
you.

Some people here in the USA believe the
virus is all about politics which it could
be, however, I don't to spend my time
thinking about conspiracies'.

For some it is me against the liberals
and I am sure for others it is me
against the conservatives. Another
thing I don't want to spend time on.

I am Ok with those who don't agree
with me since there seems to be a                    From the New Yorker June 2, 2014
lot of that going on.

I have friends on social media writing
about it all about me. I am speaking of
them as me not me here.

They do speak of us as well but it
begins with me. At least that is how
I look at it.

Most people who at least spent some
time in church even as a child are
familiar with the Lord's Prayer. It is
mentioned in the prayer let thy will
be done.

So I see no us or me in there. I know
there is controversy not only getting
back to work or how our lives were
in February.

Our governor in Washington State
has four phases to get everyone back
to work and as close to normal life
as well. Many of my friends want to
right now not take four phases.

They might be right since our governor
is basing everything on data which I
am not sure is right in the first place.
Also, these same friends of mine many
don't want to be tested. Another conspiracy
for some of them too.

I figure to be tested when the time comes
which I hope is soon. I want to be sure
I haven't had the virus at all. I am looking
what is best for others not for me. Also,
I don't want my conscience wandering if
I have affected anyone. This leads to more
controversy concerning antibodies and such
I won't go there. I will leave it right now.

I just want to remind us our purpose is
about serving others and not ourselves
in whatever manner that comes.

It does take wisdom to get through all
of this. Even with wisdom it doesn't
mean others will listen. Many have
already made up their minds and changing
it is hard to do.

Until next time stay safe and happy. Amen!

The Place and Time of Your Purpose

Not only are you here to raise up your
children in the way they should go you
are here for the place and time of your
purpose and destiny.

God created me to make a difference in
Gig Harbor, Washington and around the
world in the 21st century and much of
the last half of the 2oth century.

I didn't know much about my purpose in
the 20th century, however, I am sure God
used me in the manner he wanted me too.
Now he is doing the same in this century.

I am saying this because you were created
for the same thing. You are in your city
and country for a purpose and destiny.
Only you and God knows what it is.

I know I will go to different cities in the USA
and the world as well. This blog for the most
part is to encourage those who read it whether
intentionally or by accident. Actually there
isn't an accident, however, you are here for
a purpose. I expect you are searching you will
find it.

Your Family Has Influence On Others Too

Your life purpose isn't just about you.
Your family can have influence on
others as well.

Your children can influence other
children just like you do on adults.

Actually you can influence children
as well. The children can see how
you treat your children.

How much you love them as well
the rules you give to them.

They may even tell their parents how
come you don't do the same thing.

It is not you are the perfect parent
however you are above how their
parents do their job.

It is important not to love your kids
show them or let them know what
their purpose in life will be like.

Look At Life Purpose "Being Influence"

Right now you can be influence  even if it
is with one person or family.

Though you may have social distancing
where you live talking to your neighbor
is a good idea.

Say you have a fence between the two
of you the neighbor is out cutting grass
or working in his hard. Say hello asking
how things are going.

Just like you he needs conversation as
well with another person. I certainly
know I do.

When I go out for a walk or take something
to the garbage talking sometimes happens.

Yesterday I talked to my neighbor twice.
He and his wife along with baby were
taking their dogs out for a walk. The dogs
were excited to see me.

Another occasion I saw he had bought a
new truck. He got the truck on line trading
in his other vehicle.

We didn't spend a lot of time talking however
it was enjoyable. Go for it.
