Going Further

When I was a teenager I started

hiking in Boy Scouts. My first

hike I thought this was crazy

and why am I doing this.

I realized I didn't have the

right hiking equipment. The

backpack was old since I

used my older brother's

I knew I had to get a new

and updated pack. I needed

a better sleeping bag and

tent.

Often when we do something

for the first time we are not

prepared. I went on four

50 mile hikes in Boy Scouts

with that new equipment and

other hikes too. 

This story means we should

never give up even when

things would look best to

give up. We might have to

find the right talents.
