is a national holiday called
Thanksgiving. It has been going
on for like four hundred years
though not a declared national
holiday until Abraham Lincoln
declared it and made it one as
President.
Most people gather to celebrate
Thanksgiving with family and or
friends. Turkey is the most
common part of the dinner
although not all people participate.
Families all have their traditions.
Usually mash potatoes and gravy
is included. There are vegetables
included too depending what people
fancy.
What has become a tradition as
well is American football shown
on television so many watch it
before dinner.
My town now has a turkey run
of 5.5 k each Thanksgiving.
Often families will run together
first thing in the morning.
Everything still comes to down
to be thankful for our blessings.
