A Day To Remember

Today September 11th is the fifteenth anniversary of the biggest tragedy in the history of the United States. It is a day those of us alive will never forget. It is known as 9/11. The twin towers at the World Trade Center were hit and taken down by two planes that cost of the lives of over three thousand people who were working there that day. Not only they lost their lives it changed the lives of more than three thousand. Some who never knew their parent, very young or knew them very well. Also the plane that was hi-jacket in Pennsylvania that went down in flames with passengers that were heroes; more lives could have been lost that day since the plane was likely headed to Washington D.C.

I know where I was at on that day like millions of other Americans however the story is still about those who lost their lives that day. I woke up around 6 am listening to the radio when news came across that a plane had crashed into one of the two towers at the Word Trade Center. I could not believe such a thing would happen in the United States so I got up and turned on the television. A plane was heading for the second tower and in only a few seconds I saw the tower being it. I could not believe with my own eyes was happening. My thoughts it was a made for television movie instead of a real live event happening right in front of me. So unbelievable something like that would happen in the United States or any other country in the world without a declaration of war; however this is a day that the war against terrorism started.

Since then we have seen shootings at schools killing multiple students along with teachers and bombings in other countries like France and Germany. The whole world is open for attack by a group that calls themselves ISIS. It is hard to know when they will hit again. This year has been the biggest attacks since 9/11 and when will it end only anyone’s guess.  All I know is that ISIS has to be stopped with every measure. I am sure there are agents of ISIS in the United States right now well as many other nations. There are illegal-aliens in each country and we are not sure who are the good guys and bad guys. All I know is that the governments have to do a better job in keeping out those people even if it means keeping out some innocent ones to.

Today there will memorial services around the United States to remember those who gave their lives on 9/11 fifteen years ago along with their families. The affect is across the world not just here so we all need to remember not just this day but that the war of terrorism is still going on. I am not saying that we have to be fearful but we must remember and not keep our guard down. Pray for the peace of the world. Amen!
