Serving Others

Late Friday afternoon I ran into a friend while stopping at my neighborhood coffee shop on the way making an errand for my mother. His name is Carl and he is a regular reader of this blog as well.

After catching up for a few minutes he mentioned to me his purpose in life is to serve others. It was so great to hear this from him.

Carl has his own business where he works for others whether it is carpentry or working in their yards or figuring out things on their properties. He is using his knowledge along with his gifts and talents to help them.

These clients of Carl’s know he cares as much about their properties as they do. This is how he is serving them. When it comes to our purpose those we deal with and spend time with are getting the benefit of being served. The world needs more Carl’s to care.

Whatever our purpose is whether serving or encouraging others just to name a couple of them can benefit so many people. Go into 2019 to discover and use your purpose to help everyone around you. Happy New Year’s to you.
