Taken from one of the restaurants on the waterfront of Gig Harbor
We know two important things we need to know when traveling
is where to stay and where to eat. After that, we plan what sites to see.
In my home town of Gig Harbor, we have a couple of motels and
then there are a number of bed and breakfast spots as well. This is such a lovely area
you couldn’t beat where to stay.
When I was growing up there wasn’t a big choice of where to
stay or eat. You had to stay in nearby Tacoma. The town has become quite the
tourist place now though. We had only one restaurant and a couple of burger
places. Now you have a pretty good choice for whatever kind of food you like.
There are plenty of places in the shopping centers we have in
town; however, I suggest downtown on the waterfront. You can find several
restaurants that serve seafood and then you have the scenery to go with it.
The weather here now is warming up to be summer. We are expected
temperatures into the mid-80s this coming week. It is unusual until three years
ago June rained early on and possibly good weather in late June. We always said the summer didn’t start until after the 4th of July. Not so much anymore.
You ever make it to the Seattle area must come to visit Gig
Harbor and rest of Olympic Peninsula. We have a lot of great places to see.
Stay tuned.
