One of the most popular spots for those living in Western
Washington go visit during the year.
Leavenworth Washington is located in the eastern part of the
state in the Cascade Mountains. It is a German looking town with places to shop
and eat. You like German food then it is the place to go. A couple gals I knew as schoolmates are
moving to Leavenworth shortly. One has lived in central California for thirty
years while the other one has been in Gig Harbor all her life.
Yesterday morning at my favorite coffee shop one of the guys
said he was going to Leavenworth this Sunday with a few buddies. They plan to
hike one of the trails which is 18 miles long. He wasn’t sure whether he will
do the hike or not since they are expecting some snow.
It may be September, however, the Cascade Mountains which
includes Mt. Rainier has snow already falling. I thought about taking Mother up
to Mt. Rainier in October, however, since she fell on Monday not a good idea at
this time. I may decide to go by myself or wait a little longer.
Early December is a good time to visit Leavenworth. They have
a parade and the lighting of the trees. You like snow they will have a good
abundance of it in December. There is a nice crowd of people who come in
December.
So you ever decide come to Washington state visit Leavenworth
and see what the natives do.
